Delta Tau Delta at UF

Our Crest
We, the brothers of Delta Tau Delta, take pride in over 85 years of brotherhood on the UF campus. Our chapter (the Delta Zeta chapter) was established at the University of Florida in 1925, and the Delt house was built 11 years later in 1936. We are a values-based social fraternity that prides itself on our foundations of truth, courage, faith, and power.
Our fraternity is a leader in academics, campus involvement, and philanthropy. Delt has the privelege of electing Miss Greek in the prestigious annual pageant that we organize.
Our house is indicative of our motto: "Committed to the Lives of Excellence." Delta Tau Delta provides all brothers with the atmosphere to succeed in all aspects of life - both academically and socially.

National History

The Founding Fathers of Delta Tau Delta
Delta Tau Delta is an international fraternity, and its history extends beyond our chapter at UF. The fraternity was founded in 1858 at Bethany College in what is now West Virginia. Founded by eight brave men - Alexander Earle, Richard Alfred, Henry Bell, John Johnson, Jacob Lowe, Eugene Tarr, John Hunt, & William Cunningham - the fraternity has endured over 150 years and continues to flourish. Today, its members benefit daily from the legacy created by Delt's founding fathers.
